Sam was the bravest of Hobbits. :D And essentially not susceptible to the Ring's temptations because it couldn't conceive of someone who just wanted to grow a nice garden and was actively repelled by offers of martial prowess.

Now if the Ring had said, "I can show you how to turn kitchen scraps and manure into compost in 2 weeks flat!" that might have been different.

yes, he is hard to tempt and it's by his love of his master which encourages him to move on. It is such a great love he had for Frodo.

What an incredibly frightening and also strengthening moment for Sam. He's such a heroic hobbit.

Such a turning point for our hero- he indeed learned a lot from this moment and how he changed could be written about post-Quest and also how he teaches his own children resilience. :)
